Government of Sindh, School Education and Literacy Department issued notification regarding appointment method of Deputy District Education Officer (BPS-18) in Sindh Education Management Information System (SEMIS).
In pursuance of sub-rule (2) of rule 3 of the Sindh Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1974, and in consultation with the Regulation Wing of Services, General Administration & Coordination Department, Government of Sindh, the method. qualification, experience and other conditions for appointment in respect of the posts of Deputy District Education Officer (BPS-18) in the Sindh Education Management Information System (SEMIS) and Planning. School Education & Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, mentioned in column-2 of the table below shall be as laid down in Column 3, 4 and 5 thereof:-

   i) Twenty two percent by initial appointment through Sindh
  Public Service Commission (SPSC). ii) Sixty Seven percent by promotion from amongst Computer
  Programmers (BPS-17),
  having atleast five years service in Education and Literacy Department Government
  of Sindh, on seniority cum fitness basis; and iii)
  Eleven percent by promotion from amongst Superintendent (BPS-17) having atleast
  five years service in SEMIS & Planning Wing of School Education and Literacy
  Department, Government of Sindh on seniority cum fitness basis.  | 
  
   Master in Computer Science atleast in 2nd
  Division or equivalent  from a University recognized by Higher Education
  Commission; or B.E (Computer) alteast in 2nd Division or
  Equivalent from a University recognized by Higher Education Commission.  |
