In exercise of the powers conferred under Article 139 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan read with rule 49 of the Punjab Government Rules of Business 2011, Governor of the Punjab made following amendments in the Punjab Government Rules of Business 2011:
AMENDMENTS
In the Punjab Government Rules of Business 2011:
1. In rule 2:
(a) in clause (g), after the words "Additional Chief 
Secretary in Services and General Administration Department", the words "and Additional Chief Secretary South Punjab" shall be inserted; 
(b) in clause (j), the existing proviso shall be omitted; 
(c) in clause (y), after the expression "Additional Chief Secretary South Punjab,", the expression 
"the Secretary South Punjab," shall be inserted; 
(d) in clause (z), the word "and" shall be omitted; and 
(e) after clause (z), the following shall be inserted: 
"(za) "South Punjab" means the area consisting of the revenue jurisdiction of districts Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Khanewal, Layyah, Lodhran, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur and Vehari as notified by the Board of Revenue;
(zb) "South Punjab Secretariat” means the Secretariat consisting of the departments with the suffix 'South Punjab' mentioned in column 2 of the First Schedule; and".
2. In rule 3:
(a) 
in sub-rule (2), the words "or may create more than one Department for same set of subjects in public interest" shall be omitted; and 
(b) in sub-rule (3), the existing proviso shall be 
omitted. 
3. Rule 9A shall be omitted.
4. In the First Schedule:
(1) At Sr. No. 1A (Agriculture Department, South 
Punjab), in column 4, under the heading "Autonomous Bodies & Companies", the following shall be inserted:
