DAO, HAFIZABAD SEEKING CLARIFICATION REGARDING GRANT OF SPECIAL ALLOWANCE 2021

The District Accounts Officer (DAO), Hafizabad has written a letter to the Chief Inspector of Treasuries & Accounts, Government of the Punjab, Finance Department, Lahore and the Accounts Officer (TM Section) o/o Accountant General, Punjab to seek clarification regarding grant of Special Allowance.

In the notification regarding grant of Special Allowance, it is mentioned that those employees who are drawing any type of cadre / service specific allowances are not entitled to the aforesaid special allowance. The subject allowance is only admissible to the employees who are drawing their pay in the relevant basic pay scale along with only following allowances: 

• House Rent Allowance 
• Conveyance Allowance 
• Medical Allowance 
• Adhoc Relief Allowances, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019 

It is stated that some other allowances are being drawn by different department employees except Police, Judiciary, Jail, Rescue-1122, Health, Special Education like as "Personal Allowance. Charge Allowance, Qualification Allowance, M.Phil Ph.D allowance. Special Allowance. Special Conveyance Allowance, Science Teaching Allowance, Computer Allowance, Hard Area Allowance, Research Allowance, Stationery Allowance, Inspection Allowance. Integrated Allowance, Risk Allowance, Dress Allowance, Fixed TA/DA, etc). 

In this regard it is requested that necessary clarification may be issued or sought from finance department that the employees who are drawing the above said allowances will be eligible for special allowance-2021 or not.
