REVERTING TO NORMAL TIMINGS OF BANKS

 State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Banking Policy & Regulations Department revert the office timings of banks to normal.

        SBP revert the bank timings to normal hours w.e.f 17.05.2021 of all banks / DFIs / MFBs which are as under:

• Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm (with prayer / lunch break from 1:30 pm to 2:15 pm) 

• Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (with prayer / lunch break from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm) 

        Further, banks / MFBs may prescribe business (banking) hours for public dealing as per their business requirements subject to observance of business (banking) hours of SBP Banking Services Corporation as a minimum benchmark for this purpose.

        Banks / DFIS/ MFBs are advised to ensure compliance with above-mentioned timings in letter and spirit. 

        The above instructions shall supersede the instructions contained in BPRD Circular Letter No.12 dated April 28, 2021.
