Government of the Punjab, School Education Department issued a notification regarding Amendment in the Punjab Private Education Institutions (Promotion & Regulation) Rules, 1984.
- In exercise of powers conferred under Section 13 of the Punjab Private Educational Institutions (Promotion & Regulation) Ordinance, 1984 (IV of 1984), Governor of the Punjab is pleased to make the following amendment in the Punjab Private Educational Institutions (Promotion & Regulation) Rules, 1984, with immediate effect:
- AMENDMENT
- In the Punjab Private Educational Institutions (Promotion & Regulation) Rules, 1984, in rule 3:-
- Clause (d) shall be omitted.
- Existing sub-rule shall be numbered as (1)
- After sub-rule (1) as amended new the following shall be inserte;
- (2) For a school, the Registering Authority comprising (1) Deputy Commissioner, (Chairman), (II) Chief Executive Officer, District Education Authority (Member / Secretary), (III) District Monitoring Officer (Member), (IV) One representative from parents to be nominated by the Chairman (Member) and (V) One representative from private schools to be nominated by the Chairman (Member)".
