GUIDANCE / INTERPRETATION REGARDING PARA 4(2) (C) OF RECRUITMENT POLICY

Government of the Punjab, School Education Department, Section Officer (SE-REC) issued a letter regarding clarification of para 4(2) (C) of recruitment policy 2016-17.

• Under Rule 3(V) of the Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 1976 read with amendment in Contract Recruitment Policy, 2004 vide No.DS(O&M)5-3/2001/Contract(MF) dated 19.01.2012 passed by S&GAD, Govt. of the Punjab, the expression "in service candidates" in Para 4(2)(C) of the Recruitment Policy 2016-17 means both contract and regular in-service candidates.

• In view of the above, the contract service is also included towards service rendered by the in-service candidates for age relaxation.
