Government of the Punjab, Services & General Administration Department (Punjab Government Employees Welfare Fund Board) issued clarification letter regarding Financial Loss Caused by the Law Department to the Millions of Punjab Government Employees due to Negligence / Irresponsibility Shown in Delaying the Issuance of Timely Notifications.
- The subject of Group Insurance relates to Finance Secretary being Chairman of the Provincial Welfare Board. A note for Finance Secretary on the subject of Group Insurance Benefit on Retirement has already been forwarded to Finance Department for necessary amendments in the law since March, 2019.
- The final approval of the amendments regarding Enhanced Rates of Grants & Eligibility Criteria for Monthly Grant of Benevolent Fund was granted by the Provincial Cabinet in its meeting dated 19.04.2019. After receiving of the minutes, the file has already been forwarded to the competent authority for signature of the said notifications and will be issued accordingly.
- In view of the above information, it is requested that there is no delay on part of the department and the respective Chief Minister directive may kindly be considered as disposed of.
