Sindh, Pakistan has issued Notification dated 18.09.2017 regarding Approval of
Computer Allowance to the Officers and Officials of the University i.e;
a. Employees
having computer/IT related qualification (M.Phil/ME/MS/MSc Computer
Science/IT/Software Engineering/Telecom/Electronics or equivalent) MBA (MIS), BS/BS/BSc
(Computer Science/IT/Software Engineering/Telecom/Electronics or equivalent),
PGD/DIT (Computer Science/IT or equivalent) would be eligible for computer
allowance.
b. Employees
who don’t possess any Computer/IT related qualification and their work involves
extensive use of Computer would become eligible for computer allowance subject
to his / her application for the aforementioned allowance is endorsed by
reporting Head of Department. As such a prescribed Computer/IT Test will be
conducted by the department of Information Technology to ensure eligibility prior
to sanction of Computer Allowance.
c. Employees who are getting Computer
Allowance and don’t possess any Computer/IT related qualification and at the
same time their work involves extensive use of computer will have to apply
afresh through their reporting Head of Department. As such a prescribed Computer/IT
Test will be conducted by the department of Information Technology to ensure eligibility
prior to sanction of Computer Allowance.
