Department has issued Notification dated 18.09.2017 regarding Clarification of
Pension Qualifying Service (20 Years for Voluntary Retirements) in which
written that;
I am directed to enclose herewith the excerpts from the
Sindh Civil Servants Act, 1973 (Section 13), whereby the qualifying services
for pension benefits has been reduced from twenty-five (25) years to twenty
(20) Years. The formal notification and amendment in Rule 3.5 of the West
Pakistan Civil Services Pension Rules, 1963 is under process in the Finance
Department Nevertheless, the statute / Law, being a superior legislation, has
over riding effect on the Rules.
2. Accordingly, I am directed to advise all the DsSE, DEOs
and TEOs to disseminate this information to all the employees about the instant
legislation enabling them to avail the pensioner benefits, after completing
twenty (20) years in Government service.
